What is the most important decision you've made in your life and why?

Topic week of 3-19:

My life has taken many turns, that the crew of the Enterprise shall not be privvy to. They remain unaware that I had been quite a radical in my society until I made the decision to join the High Command.

In a way the most out of character, and difficult decision was to choose the High Command and remain with them, developing a successful career there. Leaving them was almost inevitable, I see that now.

But perhaps my choice to join them, was the single most important decision in my life, it gave me a clear perspective on what I really was fighting against. And of course the chance to be on the Enterprise, where perhaps my contributions are far more valued, and valuable.

Hearing, Sight, Taste, Touch, and Smell.

TOPIC Week of 3/5/04:

Touch is my link. My eyes cannot be a window to my soul as Travis once put it to me. My only option is touch... my link to the rest of this small society. Smell... my strong sense of smell results mostly as an irritant, silence, is something i always wish to attian, so hearing is no issue, taste... well Chef isn't so good a cook anyway.

But not feeling the fabric of my robes, or to be able to fly the shuttlepods... could I even do my job properly if I couldn't feel the sensor consoles or the feel of the Padd in my hand? Let alone the occasional brush with the creew in corridoors.. which once bothered me, but now I find I almost look forward to. ANd then there is his touch...

Topic Week of 1-30:

neuro-pressure with trip.

sliding hands down his back, feeling him breathe deeply, sensing his comfort, appreciating the way they move together, as one, working upon eachother's bodies, the act itself designed to be a kind of meditation, but with a human, it has it's own kind of intimacy, he lets his guard down, he hides nothing, discards anything of discomfort, and just enjoys the time with her.

Internal Communication to Captain Archer

Att: Captain Jonathan Archer

We have detected a Minshara-Class planet on our long range scans of the nearby binary system. We will be unable to get further readings until we are at close range, however Ensign Sato believes she has found a match in the Xindi database. It is not Xindi territory, but rather a religious community of a species we have not yet encountered. The relevant files are attached.

Serpo is inhabited by a large religious community, known as Serpols. Population 12,350,000, spread over the smaller southern continent with 3 main cities. They are traders, offering many traditional wares such as pottery, fabrics, and primitive electronics. They have many temples, libraries, sports and recreational facilities. Their database of visual entertainment [I believe they mean movies. --En. Sato] is famed and treasured by many species in this sector.

Their culture is largely intact due to their primitive level of technology, seemingly inhibited by their religious beliefs, which put pleasure above all else. Traditional greeting in official situations is to kiss, informal greetings are embraces. The Serpols have been found to be a very accomodating and genial species, with a relaxed attitude to outsiders. Ideal spot for rest and recreation for Sloth and Primate Xindi, unsuitable for other Xindi species.

All visitors must contact the Galaan, where accommodation will be arranged and official greetings take place. [It is described as a kind of beach-side resort nestled in the main city of Torop. --En. Sato]

The Sloth and Primate Xindi have signed a treaty of protection and peace for this minor civilization, along with several other trading communities in nearby systems.

It seems that trading routes once passed by this system regularly, but since then the routes have moved and the community no longer recieves many visitors. We will need to reconfirm all information should we choose to investigate further. But according to the database and Phlox's preliminary analysis of their biological data, this may be the ideal rest spot.

T'Pol

Your choice to use the Lycerian Symbiants, for instance, while I disagreed at the time, your decision has returned our Chief Engineer to us.
Sub Commander - Begin Personal Log

My name is T'Pol, I am currently serving on the Starship Enterprise under Captain Archer as Science Officer. My years of experience in the High Command have proved helpful to the crew on many occasions. Though at first I had not believed it possible for these Humans to create a life for themselves beyond Earth, they have continually surprised me with their courage and valor.

Our most recent mission into the Delphic Expanse has proven most trying, I find myself seeking comfort from the crew, particularly Commander Tucker, his company is most... pleasant. Concerns for his well-being serve to push back my own concerns for the time being.

Few seem to recall that I have quit the High Command, been shunned by my people, am suffering a degenerative illness... Most of the crew still treat me as the outsider, I seem to induce in them, an austere respect. Perhaps the benefits of this, are that I am subjected to their emotional outbursts very infrequently.

The Captain has seemed very agitated during the last few weeks, this is most likely due to the lack of progress we have made finding the Xindi weapon. Indeed his concerns may be valid, however he has proven time and again that his ingenuity will prevail.

It is now time for me to meditate.
_______
End Log
